Puppy Love: Carnival

Maddox tried to hide his panic as he once again had to dodge a group of excited swimmers. Everyone seemed to be growing up so fast and he felt as though he was the only one who hadn't been told. Everything had seemed so normal at the start of summer but now that school was around the corner, suddenly his Sonic beach towel and his lime green clogs felt horribly childish. He had planned to spend most of the day at the community pool, but now that he had seen everyone else, he was too anxious to stay. “Oops, sorry” his heart could not seem to decide if it wanted to stop or pound out of his chest as he realized he had nearly run right into Allison Klein. Of course. Of course it had to be her. “I didn't- Oh, wait. You're” she paused and looked him right in the eyes, no small feat with how much she towered over him. “Maddox, right?” “Uh, yeah.” “Wow, I didn't recognize you out of your school uniform at first! I haven't seen you all summer! Course, I've been in cam...

Finny Goes to the Movies

Finn groaned as Nate and Felix laughed about something that had happened at their friend Jaycen's house. He hated hanging out with his little brother, but that was the rule for the whole summer ever since their parents had seen some news report or something. Neither of them could go anywhere with a “buddy”. Nate had convinced their parents that Felix counted as a buddy, but if Finn wanted to go somewhere, he had to go where Nate was going. He had only agreed to come along with Nate because they were going to the movies, but somehow, Felix's mom had convinced them they had time to hang out and drink lemonade. It was dumb, Finn thought. What made it a million times worse was that Felix's mom was convinced Finn was Nate's little brother, hopelessly little, so he got stuck with a sippy cup and the babyish nickname Finny. He tried to set the record straight, but neither Nate nor Felix would back him up. “And the third one's your weenie!” Nate bellowed. Even though both N...

Diapfake

Don't know if that title is as clever as I think it is... “Who needs pants when you have your poofy diapie?” Beau groaned, covering his ears and wishing he had earplugs. Recess was supposed to be the best part of the whole day, but he could not escape that stupid video. Videos, really. There was that one, the diaper dance, and he didn't even want to think about what other ones might be out there. Every single video spread across the playground like wildfire. “Who needs pants when you have your poofy diapie? Who needs pants when you have your-?” “Are you watching it over and over?” He glared at his best friend, sitting beside him in their special hideout under the jungle gym. The least he could do was look sheepish about it! “They loop.” Aiden said. “And people keep sending them to me.” “It doesn't even sound like me!” Beau protested. “Looks like you though.” Beau pushed Aiden's phone away before he could see the latest AI-generated slander against his maturity. “Do...

Teddy & Ben: Orientation

He surveyed the dorm room, appraising it and approving of what he saw. Everything looked perfect. Well, almost everything, he thought as his gaze shifted over to the untouched other side of the room. He had gotten everything unpacked and set up, even made his bed, and his roommate still wasn't here? “I guess it's not that late.” He murmured, even as he began to imagine a whole semester of having a dorm to himself. Hanging out in his boxers, having friends – or even a girl – over. He smiled at the thought. “Um, excuse me?” He turned toward the door, his smile growing as he realized that cute little voice had a cute little face to go with it. A little boy stood at the open door, wearing jeans and even a Woodcreek University hoodie. Adorable. “Hey there! Are you lost, little guy?” “No, I'm-” “Oh, Mommy and Daddy are lost, huh?” He chuckled and crossed the room, kneeling down. “Don't worry. We'll find them. Do you know your big brother's name?” “Quit. I'...
