Anna's Princess Storytime

Jake scanned the shelves of books, trying to find one he had not read yet. He rolled his eyes as he heard Amelia and Brittany giggling. This was a library! They were supposed to be quiet, but he could hear them like halfway across the building! Feeling some sort of fraternal need to take control, he left the row he was in, knocking a sign off of the shelf. He bent over to pick it up. It was a schedule of the children's events the library offered over the summer. Puppet shows, storytime with a princess, magicians? it all sounded so dumb! He rolled his eyes. "I see Paris, I see France, I see Jakey's underpants!" Amelia teased. Jake shot back up, putting the sign back on the shelf. "Shuddup." "Maybe Jake likes showing off his tighty whities. I've seen them like a thousand times." Brittany said, smirking at Jake. "Remember Halloween?" "How could I forget?" "He still gushes about it!" Amelia exclaimed. "Shh, why a...

Anna Merry Christmas to You

What, is it like some sort of uniform? Jake thought as he eyed the girls around him. They all seemed to be wearing the same velvet dress with a red skirt and white tights. Even his sister and all her friends. He hated his formal clothes, but at least he and the other boys had some variety to their outfits. “Don’t even know why we had to go to this stupid party.” He muttered, slinking deeper into his chair. Every year, they got dressed up and dragged to his mom’s company holiday party on Christmas Eve and he was bored out of his mind. Bad Christmas music, annoying girls giggling nonstop, not even allowed to bring his video games. “Attention, everyone.” A voice came over the loudspeaker, replacing the Christmas music, at least for the moment. “Santa’s on his way for all the good boys and girls, so we’ll be asking the kids to line up soon!” “Oh, great.” Jake muttered. “Another stupid little kid thing.” They did not seem to have any idea that there were ages between six and forty and h...

Jake in the Creek

Part 2 of Jake/Anna's adventures that started in Scareathon "C'mon, Jake, we're going down to the creek." Jake sighed and followed his sister. He hated when his parents forced him to hang out with Amelia and her friends. It seemed like they spent every possible weekend at Amelia's best friend Brittany's house all because Brittany's parents and Jake's were friends. Maybe it would have been better if Brittany's brother was older than a toddler so Jake had someone to play with. "Jake! Come on!" "Don't you mean Anna?" Brittany asked with a snort, smirking at Jake to see if he would blush like he always did. Ever since the girls' Halloween prank, Brittany and all of Amelia's other friends, why did she have so many, had unerringly called him Anna. At least they had stopped asking him what happened to the Frozen panties they had forced him into. "Quit staring into space!" Amelia said. "Brittany says ther...

Scareathon

Image
Halloween was Jake's favorite day of the year. Not for trick or treating or for candy or anything like that. Nope, he loved to scare people. He scared his parents, his sister, anyone he saw and Halloween night was the absolute best time to do it. He would hide in the bushes or even in just the shadow and jump out with a savage roar. This year, he had found the perfect werewolf mask to wear for his annual scareathon. He spent hours planning his costume to the finest detail. "I wish you had this much dedication to your homework." His mom said with a sigh. "It's Halloween. You gotta commit." Jake said. "What a dork." His sister Amelia said, matching her mom's sigh. "Are you girls going trick or treating this year?" Jake asked. "Nope. I'm going over to Brittany's and we're watching movies or something." Amelia said. Now that she was ten, she felt that trick or treating was something for little kid...
